Description
This database is the fourth and final volume of the series covering the history of Tennessee. Not only are the events of the state narrated, this collection also contains the biographies of many of the statežs prominent men and women. In this fourth volume, the biographies begun in the first volume and continued in the second and third are completed. These biographies are of important men and women of European descent who helped create and then lead this southern state.
Of particular use to the researcher are the brief histories and genealogies contained within each biography. Names of ancestors and descendants are included in many entries, making this an invaluable tool for the researcher whose ancestors lived in Tennessee.
