Narrative history of Kansas

Description

This multi-volume series presents many of the events of pre-territorial and territorial Kansas in a narrative history. Volume one, which is largely historical, includes the accounts of Quivira, of Louisiana, of the Santa Fe and Oregon Trails, of the Overland commerce, of the unique Indian occupancy, of the Missouri Compromise and its repeal, of the Provisional Government of Nebraska Territory, and other important events in Kansas history. The remaining volumes in this series are mostly biographical.
